It seems that I can produce when I am pressed with a time crunch. Is that good or bad? Are my students the same? Do they work best with a time frame in mind...due dates? Should they be assessed on time constraints or do we give them to press them to produce? Questions!
This is a wall mural I painted for my brother's opening weekend at his fitness center. My family decided that it would be a great idea if I painted something for him. The time crunch was on and I finished and delivered that art work just in time.
ReplyDeleteYou did an amazing job. I am sure many people will enjoy your work.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mrs. Wrosch for reading my blog. I'm really excited! I had two school blogs, and I will use this as an example for my students too. It's the perfect way to write every day.
DeleteI work better under pressure - maybe it's the journalist in me always needing that looming deadline. That said, I'm a terrible procrastinator. For me, if I have a deadline, or "goal," to accomplish each day, I am much more likely to make the time count. In the classroom, I'm thinking that making these daily/weekly (or whatever) goals worth something would help perpetual procrastinators like myself. But, I think the grades (or whatever) assigned to those goals should be flexible (but maybe don't necessarily tell them that, because that means I would half-ass -excuse my language- some goals and still procrastinate the good stuff until the end).
ReplyDeleteOh, and beautiful art! I wish I had an artist's hand, but I don't. I can conjure up some beautiful images in my mind, but it just never replicates in hard copy.
